The Beach Vibes ("we," "us," or "our") operates the The Beach Vibes mobile application (the "App"), a weather, travel, and leisure tool designed to help users plan and enjoy beach days. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we handle your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding your data.

By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. This policy complies with applicable laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California residents.

We collect limited information to provide and improve the App's functionality. We do not collect any sensitive personal information, such as health or financial data.

• Provided by You: When you register an account or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, and phone number through input forms. This information is used solely for account management and App functionality.

Location Data

• We collect GPS data (both specific and general location) only with your explicit opt-in consent. This is accessed via device permissions for features like personalized beach recommendations based on your location.
• We also request access to your camera and photos library only when you approve, for optional features like uploading beach photos (if implemented).

Usage and Device Data

• App Interactions and Analytics: We automatically collect anonymized data on how you interact with the App (e.g., features used, session duration) via Google Analytics.
• Crash Logs: We collect crash reports and diagnostic data through Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix technical issues.
• No device IDs, IP addresses, or cookies are collected beyond what's necessary for these third-party services.

We do not collect data automatically without your approval for location or media access—all collection via input forms or approved permissions.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively for App functionality and core operations:

• To personalize beach weather, travel, and leisure recommendations based on your location and preferences.
• To manage user accounts (e.g., saving your name/email for profile).
• To analyze App performance and debug issues via crash logs and interactions data.
• For no marketing or advertising purposes beyond what's provided through integrated ad services (see Section 5).

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not currently share your personal information with any third parties, except as necessary:

• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

In the future, if sharing becomes necessary for business operations, we will update this policy and obtain your consent where required.

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates third-party services for enhanced functionality. These providers may collect data as described in their own privacy policies:

• Google Analytics: For usage analytics (anonymized).
• AdMob: For displaying non-personalized ads.
• Firebase: For crash reporting and backend services.
• Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In: For secure account login, where you provide consent—data is handled per Apple's and Google's policies.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Storage: All data is stored on US-based servers.
• Security: We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We do not apply additional encryption to stored data at this time.

You use the App at your own risk. We recommend enabling device-level security features.

6. Your Privacy Rights

General Rights

At this time, the App does not provide in-App tools for accessing, deleting, or opting out of data collection. However, you can:

• Revoke location, camera, or photos permissions via your device settings at any time.
• Contact us (see Section 10) to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.

California Residents (CCPA Rights)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Request disclosure of the categories of personal information we collect, use, or disclose.
• Request deletion of your personal information.
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell data).

To exercise these rights, email us at help@thebeachvibesapp.com with "CCPA Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 45 days (or extend as permitted). We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. For verification, we may request details like your email or phone.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly. Parents/guardians who believe their child has provided information should contact us.

8. International Users

The App is available globally but stores data in the US. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your data to the US, which may have different privacy laws than your country. We comply with CCPA for California users; for EU/UK users, we adhere to general best practices but recommend reviewing local laws.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you via in-App notice or email for material changes. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
